Giacomo Fosscati has motorcycles in his blood. He builds motorized bicycles of exceptional quality and beauty. He lives by the sea near Byron Bay on the far north coast of New South Wales and rides everywhere on his own brand of bikes.
This blog aims to tell the story of Giacomo Fosscati and his quest to build reliable, sustainable, economical, enjoyable and local motorized bicycles.
According to local legend, which has become popular mythology in the Northern Rivers of NSW, Giacomo cycled overland to Australia from Italy at the close of WW2 and his epic life story will be described in a forthcoming book entitled “Fosscati’s Freedom Ride – a memoir” by Aldo Murano and Enzo Fosscati. The book should appeal to those whose lives have been diminished since the ‘Boys Own Annual’ folded in 1968.
