Step-Thru Ladies Models of Fosscati.
Giacomo Fosscati is currently developing an ideal step-through ladies bike using suitable models of ladies bikes and experimenting with a choice of three very high quality and environmentally friendly engines. The engines being used are the Subaru Robin (4-stroke), the Honda GXH 35 (4-stroke) and a Mitsubishi 43cc (2-stroke). The bikes can be driven by chain to a fixed sprocket or to a continuously variable hub gear (known as a CVT). Another version driving by belt to a pulley wheel is also being trialled. It is important that weight is kept to a miimum and that stowage space for shopping is catered for with baskets on the front because the rear is taken up by the small engine.
The first two motorized bike models for ladies will be known as the Fosscati FG4 Nanno and the Fosscati FG4 Jacquiroo
The Fosscati FG4 Nanno will offer a choice of two 4-stroke engines with a reduction gearbox (American made and guaranteed for life) that drives to a continuously variable hub gear. The CVT hub is a fascinating invention about which more can be seen on: http://www.fallbrooktech.com/NuVinci.asp
The FG4 Nanno will be lightweight, quiet, will pull up ANY gradient without pedalling and will be simple to operate. It will not come at a low price because of the quality and provenance of the componentry but it will be built to go forever and consequently will have high second hand value. A cheaper belt driven model, also using the Honda GXH 35cc motor, will also be available as an option. The belt driven option is shown below.
Giacomo is currenly sourcing lovely wicker baskets for the model and deciding on a feminine colour scheme for the livery.
Fosscat FG4 Nanno (Prototype) under development
The Fosscati FG4 Jacquiroo will offer a step through ladies cruiser bike with a Subaru robin engine and chain drive to a sprocket on the rear wheel. A belt driven version of this model will also be available as an option.

Fosscati Motorised Bicycles 
Giacomo, Your bikes are just fantastic and Fosscati are alone in really catering for women which I think is a really big plus for you. Women are probably 60% of the market around the Northern Rivers!
There is a level of perfectionism in what you build that makes me really want to order a Fosscati Nannini with a special paint job and panniers and baskets etc. I’ll email you my measurements so you can advise me on what you think most suitable.
